- Mr. Don received his Bachelors of Arts in English from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania in 1991.
- Mr. Don has taught a broad range of courses from Journalism and Creative Writing to Advanced Placement Honors courses in American Language and Literature.
- Mr. Don has tutored home-bound students who were unable to attend a traditional school due to illness or other challenges.
- Mr. Don participated in a school district sponsored teacher exchange program in 1996-97 in Sano City, Japan.
- Mr. Don has taught conversational English to Japanese Junior High School students.
- Mr. Don has taught, and continues to teach individual and small group English classes to ELL & non-ELL students.
我是Mr.Don。1991年，毕业于美国宾夕法尼亚州的Elizabethtown大学，并取得了英语文学艺术学士学位。在 West Chester大学完成了研究生课程。并在美国某城市的中学里担任过八年的英语教师工作，期间主要教授九至十二年级的英文课程。另外，我也曾经担任过家庭教师，专为不能到学校去上课的非健康学生辅导英语。1996年至1997年，参加了由学区主办的教师交换计划,在日本佐野市教授高中生英语及成人英语会话课程. 2005年在加拿大BC省的Metro Vancouver市,创办了Dancing Tongue 英语教育中心，在育教育学的过程中，致力于帮助学生竖立自信、拓展、开发自身潜能。深受广大学生及家长的欢迎。
Mr. Don focuses on helping students to develop themselves fully:
–by working with them to build an organization and time management plan.
-by encouraging them to ask questions and then helping them to develop the problem-solving skills and confidence to answer those questions.
-by helping them to strengthen their reading, writing, and speaking skills through the use of grammar mini-lessons, vocabulary building exercises, word and critical thinking games, writing mini-lessons; and through the reading and discussion of books, short stories, poetry, articles, and essays.

從開始不為人知到今天倍受信賴和歡迎，這就是 The Dancing Tongue 英語教育中心的進取歷程。
對於很多新移民，特別是他們的子女，英語語言能力的高低直接影響了他們的才能的正常發揮。他們的種種擔心以及難以用英語正確表達自己心聲的苦惱，給他們在北美的新生活佈滿了陰影。這一切觸動了一位來自美國賓夕法尼亞洲公立高等學校的英語老師 Don Vitko 的心。
幾年前，在結束了日本的英語教學之後，來到溫哥華定居。看到很多人苦於英語學習無助之時，Don 決心用自己教授英語多年的經驗，以真誠和熱情去幫助他們。為此，創辦了 The Dancing Tongue 英語教育中心。
自 2003 年以來，該中心先後開辦了 ESL 和非 ESL 等各級英語班，其學生遍布大溫哥華地區，有來自小學到高中的學生，還有來自 UBC，SFU 等大學和學院的大學生，同時，國際留學生和普通成人也堅持不懈的參加這裡的英語課程學習。很多學生在試聽第一堂英語課後表示非常滿意，不僅喜歡老師耐心細緻的輔導，更被老師生動活潑的教學方式所吸引。
就這樣，這些學生留下來了，留下來參加這裡的英語班。直到現在，看到了這些學生多麼可喜的進步，一些 ESL 學生初次見到老師時，幾乎不能開口講英語，如今能夠隨心所欲開口用英語表達自如，他們的舌頭真的開始跳舞了。
The Dancing Tongue 英語教育中心開設了各級 ESL 和非 ESL 英語課程，由擁有鑒定證書及 35* 年英語教學經驗的西人講師主講，教師以其獨特的英語教學方式，力求在短時間內，集中培訓學生的英語聽，說，閱讀理解，語法，寫作等方面的能力。同時，小班制的授課方式，加強了老師對每個學生的周密指導，也增加了學生在課堂上練習的機會。各項課程鼓勵每一個學生能把握和正確認同自己，併能充滿自信地參與及溝通。
